Custom 450 / Alloy 450 is a martensitic age-hardenable stainless with corrosion resistance equal to AISI 304 (from 1416% Cr and 67% Ni) and high toughness (Charpy 68 J well above 17-4PH) plus strength to 1210 MPa. For India's thermal and nuclear power, refinery and chemical-process duty, that combination of corrosion resistance and toughness suits turbine rings, boiler tube sheets, pressure-vessel rings, pump and valve parts where a tougher, more corrosion-resistant PH grade than 17-4PH is needed.
