2.4606 is a single-phase Ni-Cr-Mo-W corrosion alloy with a exceptional localized-corrosion resistance (CPT/CCT >85 C, ASTM G48 C&D) giving superior resistance to oxidising and reducing acids, pitting and crevice corrosion, plus weld-HAZ stability from its ultra-low carbon. For India's nuclear build-out, thermal-power FGD systems and aggressive chemical/phosphoric-acid plants, it suits reactor-coolant-pump parts, FGD slurry pump components, severe-service valves and heat-exchanger tube sheets.
