FV520B / X5CrNiMoCuNb14-5 is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless (13Cr-6Ni-2Mo-2Cu-Nb) with corrosion resistance comparable to 304 stainless and clearly better pitting and intergranular resistance than 17-4PH, plus high strength (Rm 9251090 MPa, yield 800 MPa). Compared with 17-4PH, FV520B / X5CrNiMoCuNb14-5 offers superior pitting and intergranular corrosion resistance and is highly recommended for marine and offshore service, where 17-4PH is limited in chloride environments a key advantage for India's coastal power, refinery and offshore wind/oil projects.
