39NiCrMo3 designated W.Nr. 1.6510 is a European quenched-and-tempered nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy structural steel with high hardenability, delivering high strength, toughness and fatigue resistance with uniform properties even in large cross-sections. Jiangsu Liangyi is an ISO 9001:2015-certified Chinese manufacturer producing 39NiCrMo3 / 1.6510 open-die forgings, seamless rolled rings and gear shafts to EN 10083-3, with EN 10204-3.1 / 3.2 documentation and 100% ultrasonic inspection.
About the manufacturer
Jiangsu Liangyi, established 1997 in Jiangyin, China, has 25+ years' experience and 120,000 t/year capacity, supplying 39NiCrMo3 (1.6510) forgings to 50+ countries across wind power, mining, oil & gas, cement and heavy machinery all melting (EAF + VD + LF, with ESR/consumable remelt where required), forging, heat treatment, machining and NDT in-house. Single-piece weight 30 kg to 30,000 kg.
Grade designations (one EN Ni-Cr-Mo Q&T steel, two forms of the same name)
39NiCrMo3 EN name | W.Nr. 1.6510 material number
The nearest American grade is AISI 9840 comparable, not identical (composition differs slightly). Jiangsu Liangyi certifies forgings to EN 10083-3 and cross-references AISI 9840 on request with any differences flagged.
Product range

Properties & heat treatment
Quenched and tempered for high strength with toughness: typical tensile 8801,080 MPa, yield 735 MPa, elongation 12%, with good low-temperature impact toughness (down to ~60 C). It can also be case hardened (to 5358 HRC surface) or nitrided (surface to ~600 HV1). Hot forging 8501,150 C; harden 830860 C, oil quench; temper 550650 C; soft/isothermal anneal ~650 C. As a white-spot (hydrogen) sensitive steel, forgings are slow-cooled / dehydrogenated after forging; weldability is limited.
Why engineers specify 39NiCrMo3 / 1.6510
Its high hardenability gives uniform strength, toughness and fatigue resistance through heavy sections, with low distortion and crack risk on oil quenching the workhorse for large gear and crank shafts, gear rings and high-stress machinery parts in wind power, mining, oil & gas and heavy machinery.
