Why Monel R-405 / UNS N04405 for Indian marine and chemical projects

Chemistry (UNS N04405, wt%): Ni 63.0, Cu 28.034.0, Fe 2.5, Mn 2.0, Si 0.50, C 0.30, S 0.0250.060 (controlled). Not hardenable by heat treatment (cold-work strengthening); hot forge 1,150870 C. Same alloy across Monel R-405 / N04405; corrosion resistance = Monel 400.
