Why Inconel 783 / R30783 for Indian aerospace, gas-turbine and power projects

Inconel 783 is an oxidation-resistant, low-thermal-expansion Ni-Co-Fe superalloy with a CTE roughly 20% below Inconel 718 and useful strength to 704 C. For India's aerospace-engine and gas-turbine power programmes, R30783 suits clearance-control and containment rings, casings, shrouds and seals where tight running clearances must be held across thermal cycles to protect efficiency.

Material data

Chemistry (typical, wt%): Ni 2630, Co 2630, Fe bal, Al 5.06.0, Nb 2.53.5, Cr 2.53.5, Ti 0.40, C 0.03 (low Cr keeps CTE low). Heat treatment: three-phase age (solution 1121 C + beta age 845 C + age 718621 C). Tested per ASTM E8/E10.

Standards & quality

Manufactured to ASTM B905, AMS 5839 (billet AMS 5940); full NDT (UT/MT/PT/RT); EN 10204-3.1 MTRs; full traceability. Inconel 783, Alloy 783, UNS R30783 and GH783 are the same grade.
