1.4906 is an advanced W-Nb-N-strengthened 1011% Cr creep-resistant martensitic steel for HP/IP steam-turbine blades, rotors and high-temperature fasteners to ~600 C, offering higher creep strength than the older 12% Cr blade steels with steam-oxidation resistance. For India's power-generation and turbine sectors, it suits blades, rotors, fasteners and valve internals.
